Did you know that you don’t have to work insane hours each day to be more productive? You can sit at your desk for eight hours a day and still discover that nothing has been done. When it comes down to it, you have to find better ways to be more productive.
Find Your Passion
To be productive, you need to love what you do. So, if you are launching a business, you should pursue ideas that excite and energize you. Doing so will give you the boost and motivation you need each day to move forward and reach your goals.
The Pomodoro Technique
The Pomodoro Technique was developed in the late eighties by Francesco Cirillo, a university student. He was having a hard time focusing on his assignments. So, rather than continuing to feel overwhelmed, he committed only 10 minutes of focused studying, which he timed with a kitchen timer, and it became known as the Pomodoro Technique.
Break down each workday into 30 to 30 minutes intervals that are separated by a five-minute break. You can then have a longer break after every four Pomodoros. This allows you to make headway on what you are working on while wasting less time and not burning yourself out.
Separate Yourself from Work
Finally, to be more productive, make sure you find a way to separate your work time from your personal time. Productive people have been found to work for a total of 52 minutes and then take a 17-minute break. They are focused during their work time, and when they are disconnected, they are disconnected completely.
